Ras Al Khaimah, in partnership with street food aficionados, Truckers DXB today revealed more about the exciting line-up of events taking place at 'The Ras Al Khaimah Happiness Festival' from February 14-17, 2018.  Ras Al Khaimah Development Authority (RAKTDA), the organizers of the festival, confirmed that top Emirati singer, Mohamed Al Shehhi will perform live on Saturday 17th February and some of the UAE's top Arabic and English comedians will entertain the crowds throughout the four-day event. 

The inaugural Happiness Festival, taking place on a beach spot against the backdrop of the stunning coastlines of Al Marjan Island, will also feature 20 of the best food trucks concepts in the UAE, including: Frings, Digity Dog, Sir Loin and many more.  Twenty local DJ's and bands, including Casper, Jessica and band and Beat Box Ray will keep visitors and residents entertained whilst enjoying Ras Al Khaimah's first ever container park.  Interactive art installations will decorate the venue and spectacular fireworks will light up the sky of Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday at 8:30pm, Thursday at 9:30pm, and Friday at 9:30pm. Visitors will get a chance to win hotel stays and various prizes throughout the festival.

"We continue to refine our events calendar, building on existing successes and introducing new concepts which will help us reach our strategic goal of one million visitors by the end of 2018," said Haitham Mattar, CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA).

"There's plenty to discover together with friends and family. From street artists, a concert by a leading Emirati star, family activities and tempting staycation offers for visitors, the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah has planned a celebratory programme designed to suit the entire family which is sure to attract tourists and residents alike," Mattar continues.

Amongst the unique concepts featured at the venue is Mastihashop, which is an international franchise from Greece offering chocolates, sweets, cosmetics and skincare, gifts, exotic coffee and many more.

As Valentine's Day coincides with The Ras Al Khaimah Happiness Festival, couples looking for a fun and romantic staycation can also head to Ras Al Khaimah where they can combine an evening at the event with a romantic package at one of the Emirate's collection of luxury hotels.  Many of the hotels and resorts in the destination are offering Valentine weekend promotions including romantic accommodation packages, couples' spa treatments and unforgettable dining experiences. Moreover, to further spread the joy at The Ras Al Khaimah Happiness Festival, RAKTDA will be giving away 500 roses to two lucky winners on Valentine's Day.  Participants will need to tag their loved ones on visitrasalkhaimah Instagram account. The authority will also be distributing 10,000 roses to its visitors.
