Ras Al Khaimah, one of the hidden gems of the United Arab Emirates will be the official partner country of FESPO 2020, Switzerland’s largest consumer travel fair. Haitham Mattar, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority Chief Executive Officer and Stephan Amstad, FESPO Exhibition Manager signed the agreement last week at the Ras Al Khaimah stand during the International Tourism Exchange ITB in Berlin, Germany.

Haitham Mattar, RAKTDA CEO, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to be the partner country of FESPO 2020 and showcase all that Ras Al Khaimah has to offer to key international industry leaders and delegates from the travel and hospitality sector.  With over 7,000 years of fascinating history and magnificent landscapes, Ras Al Khaimah is the perfect getaway for leisure, business and adventure travellers.”

Stephan Amstad, FESPO Exhibition Manager, added: “We are very proud that Ras Al Khaimah is the first FESPO guest destination from the Arab world. The Emirate will be presented to the travel-loving FESPO visitors as a hidden gem with a wealth of cultural and natural treasures. With Romania in 2018 and Mongolia in 2019, we already partnered with countries that are largely undiscovered as tourist destinations. With Ras Al Khaimah the trend continues, and this is a great way to start our thirtieth anniversary year. In addition, this underlines that FESPO is a leading international European travel fairs. Our slogan ‘The Whole World in One Place’ is a clear indicator of our strategic focus.”

FESPO 2020 will be taking place in Zurich from Thursday, January 30 to Sunday, February 2, 2020. Visitors of Switzerland’s largest travel fair will be introduced to Ras Al Khaimah’s diverse and spectacular beach, desert, mountain, and adventure offerings.  Alongside the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority exhibitors will include Emirates Airline, hoteliers and other stakeholders from the Emirate.
