RAK National Museum
Ras Al Khaimah is blessed with a very rich heritage and the efforts of RAK national museum is to preserve this heritage for the generations to learn and understand. The collections consist of archaeological material mostly excavated from the last 20 years; ethnographic material depicting the traditional way of RAK’s people and natural history specimens such as shells, fossils and rocks.
The museum itself is in a very charming building and is considered as one of the most ancient buildings in the UAE. Once the residence of the sheikh of RAK, the rooms have been preserved with their pristine architecture.
With collections classified as Archaeology, Ethnography, Silver collection and natural history, this is surely a place to understand the history and not to be missed in RAK.
