Inspired by the ancient watchtowers of Ras Al Khaimah, the Tower
Links Golf Course associates its identity with these towers. Combining
history with the lush mangroves around the course makes this Golf
Club the first of its kind in the UAE. Not one to stop at that,
the Club being a fully floodlit course makes it only the second
such course in the UAE.
One notable specialty of the course is that the entire project
is based on eco-friendly principles. Great care was taken not
to damage any of the mangroves. Adding to the natural mangroves,
some new ones have also been planted to give a richer look.
Clubhouse features:
On the course stands the majestic Tower Links Golf Clubhouse,
which is a landmark building, reflecting the architectural history
of RAK. The clubhouse is a contrast between the old architecture
of the Middle East on one side and a new glass functional design
on the other. There are extensive balcony and terrace areas around
the building to allow Al Fresco dining with a stunning backdrop.
The clubhouse also houses a spa that offers various healing therapies
as well as salon services such as manicures, pedicures, facials
and hairstyling. Other facilities include a floodlit driving range,
a well-equipped gym with excellent views of the golf course, two
restaurants managed by Hilton Hotels, RAK, a training academy
and a pro shop.
Golf Academy:
For aspiring golfers, the golf course houses the Golf Academy,
where PGA-qualified golf professionals provide training. The Academy
has an indoor swing analysis center, which features the latest
instructional software. The drive range and short game practice
facilities have floodlighting for night play. With its five star
facilities, the Tower Links course caters to all standards of
play with tees for professionals, men, seniors and ladies.
Golfing can be an enjoyable family affair at the Tower Links,
with excellent dining options on board. Managed by Hilton, The
Captain’s Bar and the Marco Polo restaurant have stunning views
over the golf course and Al Fresco terrace dining.
All in all the Tower Links Golf Course leaves a golfer spoilt
